The Bar Porter assists the Bartender serving guests in a courteous and professional manner and is responsible for cleaning beverage areas and equipment. He/She provides and replenishes beverage stock and supplies. In addition, the Bar Porter removes empty bottles and trash, and is responsible for receiving, issuing, and keeping necessary records of liquor store and supplies. He/She washes glasses, polishes bar fixtures, and prepares necessary fruit for use as garnishes. The Bar Porter has knowledge of the Dram Shop Act and bartenders' associated responsibilities and rights. The Bar Porter relays all guest compliments and complaints to the manager on duty and is also responsible to:
Stock all bars with mixing and serving supplies. Ensure that bartenders have all required supplies
Ensure that liquor bottles are full and appropriate back-ups are in the place
Fill ice dispensers as needed throughout shift
Stock all beer and wine
Clean and secure glassware throughout the shift
Stock backup garnishes, juices, and other mixers
Maintain a clean and organized storeroom
Perform appropriate side work
Perform other duties as assignedEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
