The Sushi Chef is experienced in making nigiri and maki, tempura, udon, and Ramen -- and in cutting sashimi. He/She is required to have knowledge of and ability to prepare: stocks, soups, mother sauces, all varieties of meat, poultry, game and seafood. He/She must have superior knife skills, creating exciting visual presentations for their food that are neat and clean with and eye for artistic balance. The Sushi Chef is responsible for planning and directing food preparation in the kitchen. This involves supervision of kitchen staff, as well as problem resolution for issues that that may arise in kitchen operations. The Sushi Chef possesses an ability to quickly and authoritatively delegate job tasks to a large staff. In order to effectively coach and mentor others, he/she must also be able to draw upon considerable experience as a culinary chef who has worked in many different roles and settings. He/She is also responsible to promote ethical business practices and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws. The Sushi Chef is responsible to:
Prepare, present and inspect all menu items in a timely manner and ensuring that the level of quality, portion control, and plate presentation are adhered to in a consistent fashion
Create or implement seasonal menu changes, adhering to menu specifications and standardized recipes
Perform managerial and administrative duties of back-of-house staff members
Train/Teach/Share skills with culinary staff
Multi-task well in fast-paced, restaurant with modern Japanese cuisine
Manage catering on and off-site
Possess a strong ability to read, understand and create financial statements such as profit-and-loss, balance sheets, etc.
Plan and direct food preparation in the kitchen
Ensure food safety procedures are executed according to policy and health/sanitation regulations
Support apprenticeship development
Monitor inventory levels through ordering to ensure product availability
Maintain fast, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensure products are consistent with quality standardsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
