The Director of Admissions is a professional member of the College management team who is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of students for the college. Additionally, the Director of Admissions is responsible for achieving enrollment and start budgets. The activities conducted through the marketing and advertising processes provide the framework for the recruitment while the requirements for admission stated in the college catalog and the college's code of Ethics establishes the parameters for the enrollment of students. The Director of Admissions is responsible for the overall effectiveness of the Admissions department.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES:
Become familiar with the objectives, requirements and content of all programs of study offered by the college in order to present complete, factual information to prospective students and other interested entities.
Responsible for achieving weekly enrollments and quarterly start budgets as assigned by the Executive Director / Vice President of Admissions and Marketing.
Become familiar with the college procedures and policies which affect students in order to present factual information and to answer prospective students' questions.
Become familiar with tuition and fees schedules, the refund policy and payment plans.
Become familiar with the sources and types of students financial aid, understand and follow the ethical limitations for the discussion of financial aid. Ensure that all students are completely packaged for financial aid.
Visit outside lead sources as assigned by the Executive Director.
Conduct tours of the college for prospective students and parents/spouses if applicable.
Responsible for hiring and training of the admissions staff as directed by the Executive Director / Vice President of Admissions and Marketing.
Conduct coaching, mentoring, managing and monitoring activities with admissions staff as directed by the Executive Director / Vice President of Admissions and Marketing.
Conducting orientation as directed by the Executive Director.
Responsible for the active participation in meeting, training and conference calls are required by the Executive Director / Vice President of Admissions and Marketing.
Meet on a quarterly basis with Director of Education, Assistant Director of Education, Department Chairs, as well as Admissions staff to review updated information on City College Academic course offering. Also review information on graduate success stories.
Others duties as required by the Executive Director, Vice President of Admissions and Marketing.

NON- ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITES
Copy prospective student paperwork.
Enter all prospective student information into the computer (Campus Vue system).
Coordinate the scheduling of financial aid appointments with the New Student Manager (NSM).
Enter enrollment information in the computer (Campus Vue system).
Complete student ID and send to student.

Qualifications:
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Excellent communications skills verbal and written.
Excellent customer service and leadership skills and Accountability for performance
Knowledgeable of the Admissions, Education, Financial Aid, and Orientation processes
Ability to work long hours and weekend as needed
Minimum 3 years experience as Director of Admissions or customer service position.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor Degree required.

PRIMARY DUTIES: Recruitment and Enrollment of students to meet budgetary needs. Lead, train and motivate the Admissions staff. Also, participate in college related functions as required to ensure that the departmental needs are met.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
