Bartender
C ulture Duties Bartenders at Vintro Hotels are responsible for the complete set up of the bar area and the preparation of drinks for all guests and servers.
Greet guests and inform them of drink specials, notable bar menu changes or promotions; make informed suggestions and answers questions regarding their drinks, service and overall restaurant and hotel amenities.
Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, informative and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow team members.
Process guests' checks, collect cash and process credit cards and room charges according to standards.
Perform opening and closing work according to standards to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.
Prepare beverages and cocktails according to the standards established for mixing, portion control and presentation.
Serve guests in a warm, friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
Ensure the bar and surrounding areas are kept clean and well organized.
Be familiar with the POS system.
Carry out cashiering functions by closing checks and servicing guests.
Follow all state liquor laws.
Assist in maintaining beverage costs within budget.
Complete beverage requisitions to maintain par levels as needed.
(bottle for bottle method) Stock and clean glassware.
Prepare all garnishes in advance of needing them to prepare our guests' drink orders.
Assist in cleaning of tables, bar stools and all lounge areas as needed.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Qualifications Must have excellent knowledge of spirits, wine and beer as well as all other products offered.
Must be self-motivated, constantly striving to improve their already extensive knowledge of beverages.
Must be driven to focus on upselling at all times.
Possess basic computer abilities and experience working with a POS system.
Be able to maintain excellent customer service skills & high service standards in a constantly changing environment.
Possess a working knowledge of standard bar equipment to include dish washers, slicers, coolers, ice machine, etc.
Must be fluent in the English language, both written and oral.
Multilingual skills are a plus.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Physical Requirements Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Requires the ability to walk, bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with guests.
Periodically immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions.
Light work - Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Stand, sit, or walk around for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping down.
