Company Description Opening in the summer of 2014, Vintro Hotel & Kitchen is a new boutique hotel located two blocks west of Collins Avenue and the beautiful Miami Beaches.
The property is located at the crossroads of Park Avenue and the newly renovated Collins Canal that connects guests to Biscayne Bay, Indian Creek and Lake Pancoast.
Nestled in the heart of the new cultural district, neighbors include the Bass Museum of Art, Miami City Ballet and the New World Symphony.
Vintro is located at 2216 Park Avenue, just 15 minutes from Miami International Airport and the Miami Seaport.
Job Description Pre-Opening Opportunity C ulture Duties The Pastry Chef at Vintro Hotel & Kitchen is responsible for the creation of all the pastries for the kitchen.
Day-to-day operations of the pastry kitchen and all food-related events involving pastry items.
Develop, implement and train on detailed recipes to ensure quality and consistency.
Ensure outstanding food quality and takes action to correct any irregularities in the product.
Oversight and execution of all ordering, storage, preparation, cooking and presentation of pastry items served to guests.
Assist with purchasing of inventory, control of food, labor and supply cost.
Safely use all kitchen equipment and ensure it is maintained and functioning properly.
Assist Executive Chef by controlling food and labor cost.
Assist Executive Chef by controlling of purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory of all kitchen items.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience required.
Working knowledge of weights, measures and various baking and preparation techniques.
Minimum 2 years experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably in a full-service boutique or luxury hotel environment.
Prior experience designing menus, developing unique pastry creations and standardizing recipes.
Prior experience using Microsoft Office preferred.
Must be able to communicate professionally in English, both written and verbal.
Conversational abilities in Spanish desired.
Must be able to multi-task and recognize that other team members' and guests' needs always take priority.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Physical Requirements Light work - Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Stand, sit, or walk around for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping down.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
