Groundskeeper (Gardening/Grass) Supervised By:
Crew Leader/Supervisor/Manager Supervises:
Not applicable Primary Function:
Perform tasks to related maintaining and improving the Facilities Grounds
Responsibilities:
Trim, spray, weed, fertilize, sweep, rake cultivate, dig, water, and other related functions of a Groundskeeper with directions from the Crew Leader.
Operate and maintain various types of equipment, including power mowers, saws, edger string trimmers, blowers and shears.
Pick up the trash throughout the Campus.
Prepare and clean up athletic field areas for special events.
Work as directed by Crew Leader.
Properly use the time clock as instructed with a 35 minute lunch.
Remain up-to-date and informed as to current practices of job related functions.
Cooperate with other people within the department and other department personnel in completing assigned tasks.
Display the necessary initiative and dependability to work alone or in groups.
Perform all duties in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Attend meetings as required.
Participate in fire and disaster programs as directed.
