Area Manager, Revenue Management (The Ritz-Carlton Hotels, Caribbean & Mexico) (14001J29):
Responsible for assisting the Area Director of Revenue Management in the maximization of room revenue LEADS This position does not oversee any other positions.

Expected Contributions BUSINESS RESULTS Prepare reports for weekly Sell Strategy Meetings Assist with upkeep of the long range forecasts as needed Complete any Revenue Management Month-end reports Work with Reservations Managers to maintain DH pages and hotel fact pages in MARSHA Review, update and manage transient room pool authorizations in MARSHA and other channels as needed Attend all Revenue, Sales, and Forecasting related meetings Review and update transient sell strategies in MARSHA, so that all booking sources are a part of the same strategies, including Central Reservations, Regional Reservations, executive offices and front office.
Ensure that Central and Regional reservation staff have the tools and information that they need to effectively sell the hotel.
Hold them accountable for any errors that they create.
Participate in the establishing and maintaining group ceilings and target rates for the Sales Team to follow, be able to answer questions in the absence of the Area Director of Revenue Management Monitor of adherence of ceilings and target rates Assist in preparation of weekly/monthly critiques Monitor and evaluate specialty room inventory (club, suite) advise ADRM of issues Study transient demand, both year over year and current booking windows for any trends that will impact our results.
Make recommendations based on this data.
Periodically audit all rate programs in Marsha to maintain current pricing and availability of rates Ensure rooming lists are being loaded in a timely manner Ensure group blocks are being properly maintained by Group Reservations Support the development, training and mentoring of associates, including Sales Managers and Conference Service Managers and Revenue Coordinators (where applicable).

Skills and Knowledge Knowledge/appreciation of Ritz-Carlton management philosophies and initiatives Comprehension of the reservation sales process for Ritz-Carlton Understanding of group sales process and group sales demands.
Understanding of Ritz-Carlton transient sales process and transient demand.
Strategic approach towards maximizing room revenue through use of historical data and analysis of the marketplace.
Able to develop and implement effective plans to maximize market rooms revenue.
Analytical approach to problem solving utilizing data to make conclusions Able to analyze financial statements, revenue reports, and market data Able to develop and deliver effective presentations.
Ensure that all hotels strategies conform to Brand Philosophies and company future goals.
