The Sunshine Method is seeking enthusiastic and experienced tutors to join our team and help close the Educational Achievement Gap.

As a Sunshiner, you'll work one-on-one with our students, creating personalized lesson plans and providing academic support, mentorship, and personal advocacy for students in our underserved communities, such as:
Foster Care Programs Children's Hospitals Refugee Programs Students with special needs, learning disabilities, or emotional behavior disorders Title I and Low Income Families
Responsibilities:
The ability to work autonomously to create personalized instruction and mentorship to young and struggling learners Conduct structured and organized lessons in your student's home, in public locations, or over the internet (remote work only) Be an advocate for higher education, post secondary instruction, or career focused training Creating a safe and positive learning environment for your students Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or in progress of obtaining one.
Prior experience in education or a related field will be considered in lieu of having a higher education degree Minimum of 2 years of teaching/tutoring or related experience Prior experience mentoring preferred Special Education, Bilingual, and other additional certifications a plus (but not required) Access to a computer or smart device with a webcam and microphone, and reliable internet access Must pass a level 2 background check allowing you to work with minors For in person tutoring positions, access to a reliable means of transportation Compensation:
Remote/online positions range from $15-18/hr In-person positions start at $22/hr Flexible after-school and weekend hours
