We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Permanent Associate Attorney to join our thriving Construction industry team. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a pivotal role in managing and resolving complex construction-related legal issues. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on challenging cases, interact with top-tier professionals, and contribute to strategic legal decisions. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation, insurance defense, construction defect, professional liability, personal injury, and must be licensed to practice in New York.
Responsibilities:
1. Handle all aspects of construction litigation including, but not limited to, discovery, depositions, motion practice, court appearances, trial preparation, and trial.
2. Defend clients in matters related to insurance defense, construction defects, professional liability, and personal injury.
3. Provide legal advice to construction clients on various issues such as contract interpretation, risk management, and dispute resolution.
4. Draft, review, and negotiate various types of construction contracts.
5. Represent the company in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional client service.
7. Stay abreast of developments in construction law and related legal fields.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be admitted to practice in New York.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, insurance defense, construction defect, professional liability, and personal injury.
4. Proven experience in handling all aspects of the litigation process.
5. Excellent research, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
7. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
