Description:
The supervisor will be responsible for directing the daily operation of the department to meet the delivery and scheduled commitments to customers and corporate objectives at the lowest cost, consistent with quality standards.
Main
Responsibilities:
- Select, Train, and motivate an effective workforce.
- Responsible for the training to ensure proper use and care of department equipment.
(Daily maintenance, Proper guards in place, etc.
) - Organize and plan manpower distribution to meet scheduled commitments.
- Direct the manufacture and assembly of all production to meet engineering specifications and quality standards at the lowest cost.
- Must be able to read, understand and interpret CAD drawings and relate to metal fabrication process.
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the departments working area.
- Responsible for employee performance appraisal and recommend salary adjustments and merit increases.
- Track and document employee / department efficiencies, overtime, direct labor.
- Insure company rules and policies are administered in a fair and consistent manner.
- Responsible for the completion of departmental projects by scheduled completion dates.
- Responsible for the daily time and attendance, labor reporting on computer system (Tempus).
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding our customers' expectations.
- Responsible for employee discipline when required.
- Responsible for the continuous improvement of production processes.
- And any other duties that may be assigned.
