A BIM Coordinator's primary responsibility is to manage and coordinate BIM standards development, implementation, and enforcement on all related BIM projects, files, and models. Manage software products, including but not limited to incorporating new version releases and customization of the product. Perform all essential functions and responsibilities following the company's values and beliefs and in alignment with Fisk's policies. Responsible for following all local, county, state, federal, and company policies related to the position. Essential Functions And Duties Of The Position Effectively design and coordinate industrial and commercial electrical systems per contract documents, specifications, details, and the National Electrical Code Coordinate with MEP trades and GCs/Owners to deliver a signed off 3D Navisworks model Manage software products, including but not limited to incorporating new version releases and customization of the product Manage the implementation of supporting software for BIM Evaluate new BIM related software and technologies Stay informed on BIM-related software and how they work Installation and support of related BIM software Responsible for BIM standards development, implementation, and enforcement Creation and maintenance of software template files to assure standards Provide support for plotting and electronic file submission Automate routines in BIM to support standards and productivity Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process Report on the company's current and projected strategies for the BIM implementation efforts Management of all related BIM projects, files, and models Access BIM employment needs per workload Manage BIM project benchmarks to meet project deadlines Troubleshoot any related BIM issues Liaison with project team 4D simulation development for presentations Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction Education/Experience Educational and experience requirements include 5
years of production experience in design, drafting, or engineering. Must have an in-depth working knowledge of current BIM versions, with emphasis on project sheet setup. Must have essential PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software. Must be a self-starter and possess the drive to pursue continued education on BIM. Possess the ability to work well as part of a team and independently. Physical Demands The physical demands described represent those required to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. On occasion, it may be necessary to lift and carry or manipulate items of 20 pounds, walk over the uneven or unpaved ground to reach a worksite in construction zones. This position may be required to perform various construction tasks in all aspects of the construction project - including scaffold or platform work, confined spaces, and exposure to outside elements. If your position requires you to enter the field, you must wear approved Personal Protective Equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, use hands, operate a computer, and have specific vision abilities to include close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus working with computer and business equipment.
