The Hive is a youth-led creative coworking space for teens and the only afterschool space in South Florida made specifically for teens to be teens.
Our groundbreaking resources, programming, and space make us the hub for after-school innovation, education, and socialization.
Roles and Responsibilities The Hive is a new nonprofit organization that will be opening its pilot program in North Miami this summer.
We are a creative co-working space for teens to come after school.
The Hive provides the opportunity to use our creative equipment and participate in our guest workshops to further teens' life, artistic, and business skills.
Being an innovative community hub in our early stages, grant writing is a crucial component as we launch and run our first pilot.
We are looking for a Grant Writer to package our vision, use data from our upcoming pilot launch, and acquire funding.
Our funding will allow us to continue The Hive after our summer pilot program and create a stable community space for teens.
The person who takes on this role must:
Have an understanding of The Hive's mission, vision and values as well as our financial and program needs Research grants pertaining to our mission and goals from government and non-government agencies Draft proposals and supporting documents Submit proposals on our behalf Respond to internal and external queries on proposals, drafted and submitted.
Maintain positive working relationships with funeral and other stakeholders Maintain records and submit reporting related to grant opportunities The Grant Writer role demands a passionate, highly self-motivated, and proficient individual.
