Responsibilities:
Overall supervisory and hands on responsibility for all marketing, advertising and public relations emanating from the company.
Creative force in development of high profile image for the company.
Responsible for marketing, services, events, media relations, outreach, email marketing, direct marketing; all print publications including copy editing and approval; and consumer market research.
This position reports to the Business owner and is expected to be a business driver for the company.
Taking ownership, they will act as the hub for their select brand(s) and work with sales, marketing, product management, and other teams to achieve successful results.
Marketing:
Lead communication to brand team to progress product development, product introduction and product promotion for each brand assigned.
Create and implement marketing and communications long term strategies and plan to increase brand awareness and create an image of excellence for all brands carried.
Serve as the primary resource and support for marketing and promotional activities for the showroom.
Meet with showroom team to determine marketing needs and work with them to develop marketing strategies within budget constraints.
Self-starter that can develop processes to promote best practices for brand planning.
Conduct competitive analysis.
Understand and apply trends and patterns.
Create direction and definition for each product based on-depth brand understanding.
Including creative direction and product messaging.
Maintain communication with vendors.
Work with vendors during brand planning and product development process.
Create reports and other materials to communicate updates and changes to product lines.
Consistently follow up with teams to ensure alignment of goals and timelines on track.
Support the launch of new products both to the trade and consumers.
Monitor product activity at local accounts.
Maintain an understanding of online activity.
Ability to analyze activity and provide product insights/ recommendations.
Ensure consistency and follow the voice of the brand Communications:
Develop organizations collateral materials, including but not limited to brochures, e-blasts, press kits.
Write, edit, produce and coordinate distribution of collateral materials.
Prepares, writes, revises, edits, and proofreads a wide range of product promotional materials.
Supervision of regular updates, maintenance, tracking, reporting and expansion of company's website.
Communicate with showroom team members through strategic print, email, and media communications plan.
Coordinate with showroom team to develop and circulate materials.
Media Relations:
Develop and cultivate A&D contacts.
Identify opportunities to promote company in media, including the preparation of press releases and feature articles.
Develops story ideas or thematic approaches for major publications and newsletters, etc.
Overseeing A&D outreach, media relations, marketing communications, direct marketing and e-mail marketing.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree Preferred:
Marketing Must be able to demonstrate interest in wallpaper through professional or personal means.
Must have 2 years of relevant Marketing, Brand or Product Management experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills Highly organized and efficient.
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure and time-sensitive environment.
Easily adapt to shifts in priorities.
Ability to work effectively across different teams, departments, and third parties Experience selling/marketing to the trade and end users Experience with PowerPoint, Excel and Word is required Experience in product photography shoots, qualitative and quantitative consumer research.
