(Please note duties are subject to change and includes but are not limited to the following.
) Negotiate with and manage the origin, ocean, air, and domestic carriers to minimize costs while maintaining service levels that meet the business objectives Review purchase orders and bookings patterns to identify potential freight cost reductions, how to improve shipping density, and analyze the impact on inventory goals to make balanced recommendations for improvements Analyze domestic and international freight spend, identifying and quantifying cost reduction opportunities.
Identify the most cost-effective shipping lanes, modes, and schedules Create, improve and implement logistic department policy and procedures Partner with internal business units, external suppliers, and clients to lead the due diligence evaluation and implementation of projects aimed at process improvement, performance enhancement, or spend reduction Lead effort to resolve and reduce receiving discrepancies through the implementation of sustainable process improvements Maintain effective communication between suppliers and customers Update team with what has shipped daily Schedule payments for shipments on company platform Schedule pickups/dropoffs with team Driver Store client shipping addresses Skills and Experience Bilingual greatly preferred College degree desired or equivalent experience Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player who excels in a fast-paced environment Minimum of 2 years of experience in Logistics Domestic & International Excellent and effective communication skills Strong customer service orientation and excellent work ethic Ability to quickly process information and make decisions Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills, and ability to handle conflict Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask Highly organized and detail-oriented Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Job Type:
