Duties and
Responsibilities:
1.
Maintain cleanliness of grounds by removing trash and debris from grounds 2.
Perform landscaping activities by operating various pieces of equipment, including mowers, back hoes and other landscaping tools 3.
Maintain equipment by performing preventative maintenance on park and lawn equipment on a regular basis, cleaning equipment and making repairs.
4.
Cut lawns; trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls.
5.
Plant grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs.
6.
Water plants, shrubs, flowers, etc.
7.
Plant and trim shrubs, trees and flowers and maintain athletic fields.
8.
Assist with special events by coordinating tasks and assisting with seasonal decorations.
9.
Shovel snow and ice from walkways and parking lots during inclement weather.
10.
Spread salt on public passageways to prevent ice buildup during inclement weather.
11.
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and perform duties assigned.
Must be able to pass a physical examination prior to being employed.
Must be able to operate lawn equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, and edger's.
Must report to work in a clean, plain solid shirt or t-shirt, long slacks, and closed toe shoes such as leather sneakers.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be capable of working in outside conditions during inclement weather.
Must be a legal resident of the United States.
Must be able to satisfactorily perform all of the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Physical Requirements:
1.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time 2.
Must be able to lift fifty- (50) pounds.
3.
Must be able to stoop, walk, climb stairs and ladder, crouch, kneel, pull, push, reach, perform repetitive hand motions, have hearing, speech and visual acuity, and be able to distinguish colors.
