Philip's is seeking an Instructional Coach for grades PreK3-5th.
Candidates should have a minimum of seven years of teaching experience with students at the Early Childhood and elementary school grade levels.
General Responsibilities The responsibilities of the classroom teacher include but are not limited to the following:
Provides dynamic and enthusiastic leadership directed toward ensuring superior programs and instruction.
Provides job-embedded professional learning to teams and individual teachers in a coaching framework.
Collaboratively plans with colleagues, providing insight into how to teach conceptually and meet the diverse needs of students.
Skilled in growing and supporting programs and practices.
Models lessons and provides houghtful feedback during the rollout and implementation of curricula through collaborative work with teachers.
Works with students individually or in small groups, as needed.
Leads parent workshops and supports families with curricular-related questions.
Maintains and analyzes literacy assessment data.
Manages curricular resources (including ordering and distribution), and runs pilots and adoptions of new programs.
Minimum Qualifications A bachelor's degree in education is required; a graduate degree preferred Minimum of 5 years of classroom teaching experience Strong pedagogical skills Experience developing meaningful instruction and differentiated learning experiences Excellent written and spoken communication skills Computer skills and extensive experience in online learning and virtual learning platforms, Google Classroom, Google Hangouts Meet, and Apple products preferred Preferred Qualifications Experience and knowledge associated with Standards-based instruction and reporting.
Understanding of Guided Inquiry Design Physical Requirements and Work Environment Able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
Regularly use close and distance vision Work at a desk and computer screen for extended periods of time Work in a traditional climate-controlled office environment Authorization to work in the United States, background check, and fingerprinting are required for employment.
