SUMMARY As a Software Developer at Perry Ellis you will be applying practical knowledge of software development to conceive, design, develop, test, maintain, implement software fixes, enhancements, components, and/or new software systems and applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver resilient, robust, and durable solutions Work with software vendors to correct software defects.
Manage the development and maintenance of program code to interface data between application systems Manage the analysis of business requirements, documentation of technical specifications, development and maintenance of program code for new applications as assigned.
Collaborate with other software engineers and cross-functional teams Evangelize technologies, solutions, and best practices Contribute new ideas to a larger community of high-caliber professionals Participate in Design sessions across different teams Develop and execute test plans to validate proper functionality of program code.
Debug and provide updates that will correct data corrupted by software defects.
Coordinate installation of software and data fixes.
Design and develop applications using cloud enabled solutions SKILLS Experience in development and maintenance with.
NET Framework (C# and VB.
NET), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - VB6 and Java programming experience/maintenance would be a plus.
Collaborate with team and peers to design applications, peer review code, and suggest optimization.
Capable of leveraging basic Data structures and algorithms to solve problems.
SQL experience - DDL, DML, creating queries, and query optimization Experience with database development in Oracle PL/SQL, i.

packages, stored procedures, and triggers Understanding of MicroServices, Restful API's, Cloud computing Experience with Windows, Unix, and Linux Operating Systems Experience with Scrum and other Agile processes.
Knowledge of Jira and GitLab Experience in Object-Oriented design principles, patterns, and coding best practices Ability to be highly flexible to quickly changing business needs and new technologies Ability to follow existing programming and style guidelines to maintain consistent quality of code Ability to contribute to test automation as part of code regression and testing Ability to maintain documentation, procedures, and working instructions for the operations team Ability to proactively reassess business needs and make suggestions to meet those needs.
