Qualified candidates will have best business practice in the reconstruction industry, demonstrated ability bidding and procuring projects over $10 million in size.
This individual should also have at least 5 years of relevant experience and should have management and leadership experience in addition to experience bidding smaller-sized projects as well.
Responsibilities Include:
Maintain & develop relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders Complete material take-offs Develop estimates, cost of repairs, & proposals for upcoming bids as needed Participate in and prepare required deliverables for the project turnover process with the Production department Develop/innovate means and methods to complete projects that creates opportunities for increased profit margins and efficiency Assist in the development and recommendations of estimating processes and procedures Oversee and direct preconstruction projects from conception to completion Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques during design development Requirements Bachelor's degree in related field preferred 5 years construction estimating experience in the commercial construction industry Demonstrated ability to successfully bid and procure projects over $3 million in size Demonstrated ability to successfully bid and procure smaller sub-million projects Understanding of how to measure estimating capacity Proficient in general computer and pdf software use, Bluebeam highly valued Proficient with Google, Excel, & Microsoft Project Able to read construction documents (drawings and specifications) Able to review and understand construction bid schedules and durations in conjunction with developed proposals Able to handle multiple tasks, projects, & meet deadlines Timeliness and accuracy in all aspects of work Able to work independently and as a team Strong organization skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to give project presentations Compensation and Benefits Competitive base DOE Estimating Bonus Program Vehicle reimbursement and fuel Healthcare with Employer Contribution Phone Reimbursement Fair and Flexible PTO Policy All computer related work can be done at home while job sites visits are throughout Southern Florida only.
