POSITION:
Manager, Planning and Analysis Job Description The Planning and Analysis (P&A) Manager is responsible for developing a team of financial analysts to meet the quality and quantity of analytical work product required by the organization in meeting its financial objectives.
The P&A Manager is responsible for being a conduit between the leadership team and the analysts, is able to translate the vision of the senior management team into a practical and measurable actionable plan, and execute it using the people and the technology at their disposal.
The P&A Manager should be able to work with limited information and an uncertain environment, and have the experience and the fortitude to make assumptions that are required to achieve optimal work product.
The P&A Manager should maintain composure in high stress periods, exuding a clarity of thinking and a goal-oriented mindset.
The P&A Manager should demonstrate a structured problem-solving framework and be able to synthesize a challenge down to the essential issues and communicate it succinctly.
A P&A Manager's conduct as well as the quality of work should promote a detail-oriented mind-set, a pursuit for efficiency, and the ability to think critically about issues that are material to the progress of the organization.
Essential Duties Oversees the centralized strategic planning function by recruiting, training, managing, and inspiring a team of financial analysts to drive the end-to-end execution/maintenance of the annual budgeting/forecasting, analytical reporting, financial modeling, strategic/operational analysis, and data-warehouse development for Genting Americas.
Provides clear guidelines to the analysts for projects by guiding them to a starting point, and charting a blueprint that allows them to establish a concrete execution plan.
Ensures the integrity of the data warehouse by developing sufficient technical knowledge to be able to communicate well with the business analyst Engages in cross-functional projects to include Accounting, Marketing, Information Technology, Human Resources, and Operations to identify P&A's contribution in advancing the overall strategic interests of the organization Understands that P&A serves a critical function as a strategic partner to the executive team, and as a result, can be called upon to meet standards of quality and quantity of work that may significantly exceed other functional areas within the company, to include working during non-business hours, maintaining a constant communication link with the management team, and exhibiting readiness to participate in business critical projects Job Requirements Physical and Mental Ability to sit for extended periods of time as necessary to complete job assignments and job duties.
Ability to work on a PC.
The individual may occasionally be asked to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.
Ability to lift 10 lbs.
Required to understand and communicate and follow directions both verbally and in written English.
Work/Educational Experience Must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school or equivalent diploma and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the New York State Lottery regulations Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - OR Four (4) years' experience in a Management position - OR Two (2) years' experience in a Supervisory position within Resorts World Master's in Business Administration or equivalent advanced degree, preferred CPA, CFA, CMA, CAP or equivalent certification preferred Minimum six (6) years' work experience conducting detailed statistical or data analysis required Experience (4
years) preparing budgets and monthly financial reports Experience (4
years) with financial statement analysis methodologies Experience (3
years) with Operations analysis and associated methodologies Experience (3
years) with Marketing analysis and associated statistical techniques Two (2) years' work experience within the gaming industry with specific knowledge of gaming unique reporting systems Two (2) years' supervisory level work experience actively supervising direct reports responsible for analysis Demonstrated experience communicating to all levels of management in a clear and friendly manner both verbally and through the use of presentation aids (i.

PowerPoint) Expert knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and methods, with the ability to build models using retrieved data Extensive knowledge of Excel, Access, and PowerPoint Ability to write queries using standard tools to extract data from relational (SQL) databases Please submit Resume.
