Minimum
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor Degree or relevant experience License Required:
Obtain state insurance adjuster licenses as required within the first 60 days of employment.
Experience:
5
years of prior claim experience required; 1-2 years supervisor experience preferred.
KSA's (knowledge, skills, abilities):
Effective verbal and written communication skills Excellent listening skills Comprehensive knowledge of automobile insurance including claims handling procedures and operations Experience taking recorded statements related to auto accidents and making liability decisions Experience recognizing and properly handling complex coverage issues Experience managing adjuster daily activities such as diary and telephone Experience negotiating auto accident settlements and making proper payments Practical thinker and intuitive decision maker Competency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications Position Requirements:

Summary:
Proactively investigate, evaluate, negotiate and resolve automobile claims.
Integrity and pride of work necessary for a successful work at home environment Handle moderate exposure cases Obtain facts to evaluate coverage, medical necessity, mechanics and causation/damages Take focused and thorough recorded statements from appropriate parties Identify subrogation and salvage opportunities and complete required referral timely Provide timely contact with all required parties Provide excellent customer service including keeping appropriate parties updated throughout the claims adjustment process Coordinate potential fraud investigations with SIU Comply with state specific regulations and state fair claim practices requirements Maintain quality claim files in accordance with appropriate best practices and claim handling file expectations Participate in individual and department training as needed Work effectively with team members and other departments Perform other duties as required Note:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
