Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for providing technical expertise related to Automated People Mover (APM) systems and subsystems.
Troubleshooting and developing solutions for complex problems related to Systems and subsystems, guided by precedent and working within the limits of established policies.
This position is also requires interfacing with, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Engineering (MHI Eng.
), Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Transportation and Construction (MHI-TC), and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America (MHIA).
Oversee spare parts and consumables, Operations and Maintenance manuals and technical training.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Provide oversight for all technical issues related to CMSI O&M sites and new projects for the APM systems and subsystems.
Perform failure analysis on APM systems and subsystems.
Review failure reports, identify trends and develop processes to alleviate and minimize recurring failures.
Develop the repair/recovery plans and communicate plans to technical staff.
Coordinate with MHI Engineering staff to resolve technical issues requiring documentation or drawing changes to ensure consistency throughout the organization.
Provide technical interface with MHI Eng.
, MHI-TC and MHIA ensuring the proper updates of information and the timely communication of information to CMSI staff.
Coordinate with MHI Engineering staff, suppliers, and/or subcontractors to develop project proposals, schedules, O&M plans and/or other related documents.
Update Operations and Maintenance manuals, Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), and other documents ensuring completion and timely update of changes.
Provide technical training on any elements or characteristics of the APM subsystems.
Communicate recommended or mandated changes in procedures or maintenance activities to technical and supervisory staff.
Identify need for and facilitate additional training as procedures change.
Develop and manage technical training programs ensuring completion of training schedules, adherence to schedules and documentation of training.
Provide oversight for Heavy Maintenance work quality, schedule, and budget.
Oversee the availability and procurement of spare parts and consumables.
Assist with developing and maintaining the annual budget for spare parts and consumables.
Oversee the maintenance of client IT equipment.
Other duties may include:
Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups as directed maintaining required level of knowledge pertaining to operating procedures, requirements, processes, and policies.
Lead and/or participate in projects or task force groups which focus on issues Perform other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
This position will have supervisory responsibilities.
Tools and Equipment used:
Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS), computer and peripherals, standard and customized software applications and tools, usual office equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability required:
Prior APM/transportation experience preferred.
Prior use of complicated drawings, a wide variety of precision measuring instruments and knowledge of electromechanical equipment and processes required.
Prior project management and/or quality control experience required.
Must be licensed to operate a motor vehicle, and have a satisfactory driving record.
Must be able to secure and maintain airport security clearance.
Must be able to pass post offer criminal background check.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English language fluently.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand Japanese language preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering and/or equivalent experience required.
