VP, Group Media Director

About the opportunity:

Monks is looking for a key leader to help craft innovative media strategies that will result in ongoing new client acquisition.
In this leadership role, you will be directly responsible for helping to shape the strategic development of our media offering aligned with incoming RFPs, while working cross-functionally to create a holistic plan that checks all the boxes (and then some).
Ideal candidates for this role have demonstrated a strong ability to write paid media strategies and tactical plans in a pitch environment, have a deep understanding of the paid media landscape across digital and traditional channels alike, and strong presentation skills.
Key
Responsibilities:
Work with the New Business team to write comprehensive RFI and RFP responses that apply strong media planning knowledge and strategic thinking Experience gathering and analyzing industry research for audience mining, business insights, media strategy, and investment activation Ability to craft a compelling narrative, incorporating all aspects of a strategic approach and plan, clearly illustrating the unique and powerful ways Media.
Monks can drive their business forward Work collaboratively with the Investment, Activation and Measurement teams to establish a synergistic approach through all aspects of the pitch process and ensure comprehensive alignment Participate in remote and in-person meetings and pitch presentations with potential clients Ability to think on your feet quickly and clearly articulate answers to a variety of media related questions Stay apprised of the latest industry trends, vendor offerings and beta opportunities, and apply creative and unique approaches to media activation Strong understanding of marketing, data and technology and how if can be applied to solve client challenges Provide knowledgeable POV on team structure and staffing requirements needed to successfully onboard and execute the potential client's business Work closely with regional teams to ensure media is uniquely planned and executed within global nuances and global standards Lead teams to deliver client success across a variety of disciplines - Media Planning, Investment, Operations, Measurement, etc.
Qualifications:
10
years of experience in a media agency and in a planning and/or strategy role Demonstrated track record of success navigating large scale media and cross-functional pitches Extensive knowledge of B2B and B2C, including brand and performance initiatives Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to recognize opportunities and develop new strategies to bring them to life Strong POV on media landscape backed by data, insights and market dynamics Deep understanding of all media channels (digital and traditional alike) across the region; Global experience a strong plus Demonstrated ability to present a media philosophy, POV and plan utilizing data and insights Comfortable navigating key media tools such as Neilsen, Kantar, GWI, Pathmatics, etc.
Excellent presentation skills; Strong ability to lead development of media plans, including content, research, and strategy Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills; multi-language a plus Have the extensive knowledge of key competitors in the space, and the ability to position Media.
