Construction Controller/ accountant

Supports the multiple project controls or systems related tasks for a project team on large and/or multiple projects across different divisions.
The position is recognized as an expert in Mocca's project systems and understands the relationship between controls and results.
Leads local operations training and works closely with project teams to increase efficiencies.
Together with the project manager they communicate the expectations and standard processes to support a culture of risk awareness.
Possess a business management acumen and must demonstrate strong leadership organizational and time management skills as well as have strong communication skills and client services.
Candidate is expected to participate in ongoing learning and trainings with Procore and other softwares the company may utilize now or in the future.
Transfer knowledge to Project Teams and colleagues, as needed.
Spearhead implementation of new softwares and automation as the business grows.
Job duties include but not limited to:
Oversee set up and provide system tools and processes as required Builds a network of costs and document management.
Mentors project management team Oversee cost and issues and system troubleshooting Elevate significant issues for executive action Review and validate project data Maintain standard templates and reports.
Organizes and lead cost review and pre bill meetings on a monthly basis to ensure proper billings.
Drives innovation by seeking creative solutions to project needs.
Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products.
Proficient in Procore and QuickBooks Knowledge of risk management fundamentals Thorough understanding of the construction industry Strong written and verbal communication skills Good math/accounting skills Functions effectively as part of a team Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
Ability to develop or maintain relationships with clients.
Exhibits strong leadership qualities.
