The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the ground up construction industry and possess strong leadership and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Oversee and manage the overall progress of construction projects, ensuring that they are executed in accordance with the approved plans, specifications, and timelines.
Team Supervision:
Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors, construction crews, and other personnel on the site.
Ensure that everyone is adhering to safety regulations, quality standards, and project guidelines.
Schedule and Budget:
Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure that projects are completed on time and within the allocated budget.
Identify and address potential delays or budget overruns proactively.
Quality Control:
Ensure that the construction work meets high-quality standards and conforms to the specified requirements.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve any quality issues promptly.
Communication:
Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and other team members.
Provide regular project updates and address any concerns or inquiries promptly.
Problem Solving:
Identify challenges and obstacles that may arise during construction and develop effective solutions to keep the project on track.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce and uphold strict safety regulations and guidelines on the construction site.
Promote a culture of safety and ensure all personnel are trained on safety protocols.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of project progress, changes, and any incidents that occur on the site.
Prepare regular reports for management and clients as required.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in the ground up or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering - MUST.
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
Familiarity with construction safety regulations and best practices.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Manage either Procore or builder-trend management software.
Ability to Identify, document, send and manage RFI's to avoid cost overruns or constructions conflicts.
Manage daily emails as method of communication.
Manage Excell to create reports and construction logs.
Manage Microsoft Office to proficiency level.
