Your next role - Superintendent The core responsibilities needed for this role are:
Schedule & layouts Look Ahead - Always look at least 2 weeks ahead and plan what happens next.
Constant Supervision - The Superintendent must remain on site at all ALL times while work is in progress.
Site Meetings - Weekly site meetings are required.
Superintendents are fully responsible for documenting and communicating any and all information to the team and appropriate parties.
Site meetings are a useful tool to address open RFIs, changes, submittals, issues, etc.
RFI's - The super should write an RFI for any problems Submittals/Shop Drawings - Review all doors, hardware, toilet hardware, stone, tile, etc.
Postings - Keep permits and current schedule posted on job site.
Cleanliness - Keep job site clean and plan table organized at all times.
Quality Control - As the job is being put together, always check where and how items are being installed.
Bring to the attention of the subs what isn't acceptable.
Inspections - When inspections are called by the subs, always call the subs office to confirm that indeed the inspection was called in.
Safety Meetings - Weekly safety meetings/toolbox talks are required.

South Miami to Fort Lauderdale What you need to be successful To be successful with the GC you will take a lot of pride in how you operate, how you present yourself, be organized, be an expert communicator, and be an excellent relationship builder.
You will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in construction, and 5
of those will need to be with a GC.
Whilst this GC will hire to fit the culture, they need this candidate to have a strong construction baseline.
As the lead superintendent on site, you will have managed a ground up project from dirt to key, and you will be capable of completing your own schedule, or look aheads, hosting inspections, and sub contractor meetings.
Being computer literate is a must, and you will have a long term goals to be the best you can be.
