Behavior Intervention Support

Position Summary :
This individual will be responsible for providing behavioral support services for children, families and staff, with the guidance of the Mental Health Coordinator.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
This position will work directly with the children in the classroom setting to assist the teaching staff with structured behavioral intervention strategies to reduce the number of disruptive incidences in the classroom.
The Mental Health Coordinator, along with the Behavioral assistant will also work with the parent to teach them intervention strategies use at home.
The primary function of this position is to work directly with the child, caretaker and teacher to increase the child's opportunity for learning, and increase social skill, while decreasing episodes of disruptive behaviors at school and at home.
It is intended for these positions to remain as part of the ESSF Head Start Permanent Program Structure while considering the funds will be part of the base funding.
Educational & Experiential Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree preferred or Child Development Associate with ECE coursework.
A minimum of one-year experience working with children with special needs, Behavior experience or related field.
45 DCF hours preferred.
Bilingual preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and written, with diverse (educational background, cultural, race and ethnic) groups or individuals.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Working knowledge of services to infants / young children with special needs and their families.
Meet qualifications as established by the Florida Department of Children and Families, Early Head Start and Head Start.
Ability to work under pressure, maintain accuracy and meet deadlines.
Ability to work with staff, participants and the public in a professional and concerned manner.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
