Global scope/location, across GBA countries where Arcadis has a registered legal entity.
Lead long-term, sustainable, profitable growth for the global solution Resilient Ports & Maritime Transportation within the Mobility GBA. As technical experts in transportation, climate resilience, and built assets, Arcadis is committed to providing holistic, tailored solutions to address our port client's main challenges. We help port authorities, terminal operators, contractors, and governments meet their objectives through our state-of-the-art technical, digital, commercial, and sustainable solutions throughout the asset life-cycle.
We're using our expert core team and global footprint to help clients in all continents with port and terminal expansions and modernization, de-risking their assets against outside threats, and creating renewable energy sources and hydrogen supply chains to help transition their reliance on fossil fuels and gas.

Reports to Mobility GBA Sales Director
Role accountabilities:
Individual Accountabilities:
Lead, support, and drive, together with the Global Growth and in-country sales teams on pursuits for port and terminal clients on their related challenges to provide safer, smarter, and sustainable solutions. Ensure Global thought leadership through constructive and well-planned interactions with clients, industry experts, and communities alike.
The Solution Director will work closely with other Solution Directors, the Mobility Sales Directors in countries (and their respective teams of Account Leaders and Sector Leaders), as well as key practitioners in the space and the Mobility Growth Team to:
  • Raise awareness surrounding our key offerings and core capabilities within Resilient Ports & Maritime Transportation
  • Build confidence in our delivery across the globe, including the development of best practices within the field.
  • Unite practitioners within the space through the development of Communities of Practice and ensuring global collaboration and connectivity.
  • Lead and/or support the development of digital tools and products to differentiate in the space, and act as product owner for solution-specific products.

Develop and implement a Solution Strategy
  • Identify and grow Key Clients and Emerging clients to generate profitable revenue through sustainable solutions.
  • Lead development of Resilient Ports & Maritime Transportation strategy through annual and multi-year plans to accelerate growth.
  • Translate the Resilient Ports & Maritime Transportation strategy into concrete objectives, actions, and outcomes.
  • Lead the development and go-to-market for digital tools and products to support the Resilient Ports & Maritime Transportation solution globally.
  • Lead market analysis of the Ports sector to build and maintain Arcadis' understanding and insight.

Client Development
  • Execute established growth and account management strategy for selected global and local clients.
  • Proactive engagement internally and promote high visibility externally for the Solution.
  • Market-facing leader aligned with growth priority.
  • Collaborate with other client-facing teams to develop and implement pursuit/positioning strategy.
  • Manage the pipeline for the Resilient Ports & Maritime Transportation solution and personally lead key pursuits. Coach team members to deliver differentiating and winning pursuits.

Technical Excellence
  • Identify and drive innovation and development of differentiated solutions and value propositions.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize and digitize solutions; coordinate with Arcadis Tech & investment committees and the like, to advance standardization and digitization of key elements within the business (e.g., design & engineering), etc.
  • Engage our people and partners to innovate new solutions to meet client needs.

People
  • Select, develop, and manage the Global Solutions team, including account managers and Local (in Country) Solutions Leaders.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to identify resources and capabilities needed to implement growth.
  • Coach and mentor team to achieve high performance, growth, and personal development.

Thought Leadership
  • Coordinate thought leadership activities through multiple channels to bring value to Arcadis and our clients (industry forums, white papers, blogs, conferences, webinars,s, and events).

Key shared Accountabilities:
  • Work with the (G)BA Sales Directors and Global Market Sectors to determine growth strategies.
  • Work with operational leaders to expand the business based on a shared strategic vision, and create momentum, team commitment, and motivation.
  • Work with marketing to develop and implement marketing strategies (campaigns, events) for the solution.
  • Work with technical experts and CoP leaders to drive technical skill sets in core countries and Global Excellence Centers.
  • Leverage Global Service to ensure the use of SOPs and digital solutions

Qualifications &
Experience:

Required
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Planning.
  • A proven track record of developing and implementing projects for reputable/large clients in the ports/transport & infrastructure sectors.
  • Significant leadership capability and the ability to inspire multi-disciplinary teams around a common purpose and have an understanding of working on an international stage.

Preferred
Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree, professional certification, and/or continuing education are highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of planning, operations, and design development of (container) terminal operations and port infrastructure improvements.
  • Demonstrated experience as senior leader with significant presence and experience with major global terminal operators and port authorities.

The salary range for this position is $149,250 - $286,063 per year.
