Responsibilities:
Focus on customer applications and how color products are incorporated Direct customer technical support and communication Working with Sales, Marketing and R&D to bring new products to market Essential Job Functions/Duties:
Direct customer support - answer technical questions, determine pigment fit for use Work with customers to develop new test methods appropriate to application Travel on demand to customers, trade shows, application training and other meetings, both domestically and internationally.
Integration of new test methods into ISO system and train lab staff as needed Evaluate, summarize and write reports from gathered data to professionally relay to customers, both internal and external.
Maintain membership and be active in pertinent trade organizations.
Desired knowledge, skills and abilities:
Ability to effectively communicate with customers and all levels of management and technical staff Experience with color theory and understanding of color formulation Experience with operating extruders, molders and other common plastics lab equipment Knowledge of Accelerated weathering techniques and evaluation Formulation of PVC and Polyolefins for weatherable applications Working knowledge of inorganic pigments as well as common organic pigments used in plastics applications.
Excellent technical report writing skills.
Good Administrative/organizational skills.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
Professionalism as demonstrated by the following:

Goal oriented.
Excellent punctuality and attendance is essential.

Travel Demands:
Some flexibility of working schedule is required depending on need.
Travel will be required at times.
Travel will be random and as needed for customer specific visits and training.
Expect several, one to two day customer visits per year.
In addition, some week long trips may be required for trade shows or possibly overseas travel.
