They need someone that comes from a Banking/Trading/Investment environment that has been involved with Files Transfers, Client Data, and being able to set up the back office as well as understands FIX or proprietary API protocols.

This role will be interacting with Brokers.
Someone who can think on their feet and is very detail oriented is preferred.

In this role, you will be wearing many hats and it's a role up your sleeves get the job done environment b/c it's a start up.

They would like to find someone that brings a Project Management and Integration background from a Banking/Trading/Investment environment(s).

Customer exposure experience is HIGHLY desired.
Original Job Description TECHNICAL ENGINEER(Official Title from the client):
DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
o Work with IT, Development and Design departments to facilitate new or improve existing systems o Support internal and external production infrastructure and processes o Managing new client technical work flow discovery process o UAT acceptance management of data flows for client onboarding.
o FIX and proprietary API order flow maintenance, trouble-shooting and certification o EOD and SOD file flow support and process creation via new client requirements o Perform software testing on development/beta releases o Track support tickets from submission to resolution o Troubleshoot customer systems o Support project managers and team leaders in multiple facets REQUIREMENTS & COMPLICATIONS:
o Strong written and oral communication skills o Highly organized and detail oriented o Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines o Ability to multitask and to prioritize tasks effectively o Demonstrate motivation to learn new skills and technologies o Ability to accept instruction and to acknowledge unfamiliarity with tasks o Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills o Knowledge of MS Office and Open Office applications Must have 2 at minimum a strong basis in the following:
o Experience within Brokerage, Admin or Fund back-office operations o Experience with FIX or proprietary trading API protocols o Experience with Financial Systems EOD and SOD processes o Experience with black-box trading systems o Experience with Java or other programming languages o Experience with mySQL or other database systems o Experience with UNIX/LINUX based Operating Systems o Experience with Perl/Python or Unix/Linux based scripting language o IT Admin experience (System/Network/Database Admin) Click here to apply.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
