BI ETL Developer will work in close coordination with Business and Information Technology groups to perform ETL design/development/support using the entire MSH suite of analytical environment and tools including the IBM Datastage, Designer, Director, Oracle PL/SQL, HP/UX and MS Windows Server and reports progress to the Manager of Business Intelligence.

% Responsibilities/Duties 40 Independent and team development of software code using tool IBM Datastage suite including Designer, Director and Administrator.
Experience in file manipulation and working with databases Oracle to support Business intelligence system and Enterprise ETL services.
20 Independent software design and documentation for a multiple-platform (HP/UX and Oracle 11g), multiple-language (PL/SQL, SQL, Unix Shell Scripting) environment using UML object oriented design and documentation standards.
Work towards Automation of business tasks by designing them in ETL or business accepted solution.
15 Deployment and Post-Implementation support in compliance with MSH software change control policies and procedures.
10 Interfacing with business analysts and technical liaisons throughout the organization to produce detailed business software requirements on mission-critical corporate systems.
Business requirements must conform to the documentation standards of MSH that include the Agile Development Methodology and UML standards.
10 Lead projects with a team of developers.
Assign sub-tasks from overall project plans, and ensure timely delivery of tasks from team members.
5 Testing (unit testing), systems integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) both independently and in support of formal testing teams.

The employee is charged with developing the company's core analytical systems and associated tools used for all financial planning, forecasting and reporting.
These systems directly feed shareholder reporting as well as internal analysis.
The employee assist in the BI development for developing environments and tools used in managing MSH sales and marketing efforts including effectiveness, segmentation and other key metrics.
The employee is responsible for developing BI environments and tools for use in logistics planning, management and optimization.
Finally, the employee is responsible for development of the company's customer cost analysis system used for tax reporting, customer behavioral analysis, customer profitability analysis and carrier cost accounting and estimation.
Together, these systems support over $6 Billion annually in both revenue and expense - management, optimization, reporting and planning.
The company's success or failure in customer retention (churn), revenue optimization, operational efficiencies (call center, direct sales) and cost management is a direct result of the success or failure of these software initiatives.

The employee will lead development efforts assigned and be responsible for the creation of artifacts that will be used in the implementation and daily maintenance of production applications.
The employee will be the third level of support for all production reporting applications that the developer was responsible for.
This responsibility will include the troubleshooting and retesting of applications with defects.

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Majors in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems or Mathematics is required , but may be substituted with exceptional equivalent work experience.
A Masters degree in Computer Science related discipline is desired.
Certification as an Data stage developer is desired.
Certification as an Data stage administrator is desired.
Certification as an Oracle developer is desired.
List the minimum experience required to perform this job.
Experience with DataStage ETL tool is mandatory.
Experience in designing, developing, administering jobs using IBM Data stage designer, developer, Administrator tools is mandatory.
Working with files and loading data using ETL tools into database is mandatory.
Relational database experience (SQL, tuning, optimizer, relational concepts) Oracle specific and PL/SQL skills is preferred.
UNIX Shell Programming for Scheduling, File Manipulation etc is preferred.

Responsible for supporting the architecture and design of the data warehouse, data marts and BI reports which will support various data initiatives Must be able to Perform table and interface design, development of logical and physical data model/database, ETL processes, BI reporting/OLAP cubes/OLAP reporting, and population and tuning of databases/ETL processes/BI reports/queries while meeting business/user requirements Strong knowledge in OLTP/OLAP Systems, Normalized (OLTP), Demoralized (DW and ODS) models, Dimensional Strategies, Star schema and snow flake schema Must be able to verbally communicate business and technology concepts and topics fluently in English.
Must be able to write English documents that communicate complex business and/or technology concepts in a clear, organized and concise manner.
