Associate Degree
Under direct supervision, the Service Desk Analyst acts as a first point of contact for user community. The Service Desk Analyst is able to resolve less complex problems immediately, while more complex problems are assigned to a Senior Service Desk Analyst. Relays request for assistance on to appropriate group if unable to resolve. Maintains records of correspondence received and actions taken.
In addition to the minimum/preferred requirements, the ideal candidate will have Customer Service and Communication Skills; Trouble-shooting skills; Telephone Skills (active listening, empathic listening); ability to provide first line problem analysis and resolution; knowledge of commonly used applications and operating systems in environment; and the ability to provide clear, accurate, and timely documentation and follow-through.
Minimum/Preferred Requirements:
Education: Minimum of an Associate Degree in Computer Science or related discipline required.
Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Experience: 2 years of experience in IT or an equivalent combination of education and work required.
Preferred: 4 years experience in IT Computer/Software Knowledge: Microsoft Windows 2000 OS; Remote Access; Lotus Notes; Microsoft Office Suite of Products; Basic computer operating skills and basic server knowledge required.
License/Certification: A+, HDI, Six Sigma, and/or ITIL certification preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
