Our client company is a multi-national firm originally established as a machine tool business nearly a century ago. With their successful acquisition of an engineering company fifty years ago, the company established itself as a leading manufacturer and supplier to the aerospace industry. Other successful acquisitions have followed, and the organization has become over time a leading supplier of aircraft braking systems, polymer and composites, fluid controls, thermal systems, safety systems, sensors, and controls. While their international headquarters is in Europe, they have an extremely strong presence in America, one that is continuing to grow.
The company has an immediate need for a Planner/Scheduler who will oversee all US manufacturing operations.
SUPERVISORY
Responsibilities:
Directly supervises the Miami repair station hourly employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in the aerospace aftermarket manufacturing arena
Strong experience in planning and scheduling with an APICS Certification a decided plus
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Knowledge of government contract management and operations management implementing best practices.
Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives
Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
Budget development and oversight experience
A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
Excels at operating in an fast paced, community environment
Excellent people manager, open to direction and Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done
Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization
Ability to look at situations from several points of view
BS/BA degree in related field
5 - 8 years material management experience in an Aerospace production environment
Practical and applied knowledge of materials management and procurement practices
Working knowledge of and advanced training in TQM / JIT and Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques.
Proficient skills in word processing, spreadsheet usage, presentation software (MS Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint)
Ability to understand and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications
Basic understanding of production techniques (such as machining, casting, molding, sheet-metal fabrication and stampings)
Quantum and Report Writer experience preferred
Must be a US citizen

Supplier On Time Delivery Performance (% OT to promise date)
Supplier Quality Performance (PPM)
Others per Policy DeploymentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
