Logistics Coordinator
Well established, FAMILY ORIENTED, paper manufacturer is looking for an honest, dependable Coordinator for its Transportation Department. Must possess excellent communication, customer service, organizational and computer skills. Be well spoken, demonstrate a positive attitude, be able to work well with others and multi-task in a fast paced environment. Microsoft Excel knowledge is required. Opportunity for advancement is available.
RESPONSIBILITIES
including, but not limited to:
Manage all logistics activity using our management software
Monitor all orders full circle from initial entry to delivery
Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments with various contacts
Create and process required documentation for shipments
Track shipments to ensure timely delivery
Communicate with the warehouse regularly
Obtain and negotiate freight quotes
Obtain freight quotes quickly upon request
Analyze lanes, carriers and rates to determine the best shipping method
Strive for the lowest transportation costs while maintaining optimal customer service levels
Other administrative duties as required
