We currently have a EHS Engineer, Nocca Region career opportunity at our Miami, FL location.


Main
Responsibilities:
Provide EHS regional guidance and unfold Global EHS guidelines adapted to local regulation and requirements;
Interface with Global EHS group and NOCCA Region EHS focal points to coordinate EHS initiatives and KPI consolidation and report (eg: Sustainability report);
Regional EHS responsibility for Nocca Region: North Cone of South America, Caribbean & Central America. HCT approximately 2.000 employees in 5 countries.
Develop, implement and manage EHS programs, procedures and trainings in accordance with Essilor Group policies to ensure a common and effective approach;
Ensure that EHS practices are in compliance with regional regulatory requirements;
Conduct EHS audits in fully owned labs or partner labs in accordance with legal requirements and MCS (Minimum Control Standards) of Essilor Group;
Develop and manage action plans to address corrective actions;
Provide advice, assist and audit own Labs and partner labs to ensure effective EHS practices are being implemented and working;
Responsible for coordinating regulatory programs and its applications and help support the compliance process;
Responsible for mapping and managing EHS risks and work permits;
Manage and report EHS regional KPIs;
Responsible for identify and support adequate waste management systems implementation in accordance with legal requirements;
Develop projects with the partner labs in order to use the nature resources in a sustainable way.


Required skills and previous
Experience:
Solid working experience in managing EHS (minimum of 7 years in EHS roles) in industrial plants (chemical, pharmaceutical or laboratories);
Demonstrated experience in the application EHS management systems;
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and some H&S regulatory knowledge;
Minimum of 2 years of experience in supervising/managing professional and technical staff;
Previous experience in EHS cultural transformation/reinforcement and practices implementation;
International traveling required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
