Position
Summary:
This management position is responsible for the direction and coordination of the Behavioral Health (BH) Psychiatric Emergency Department (ED) including the implementation and evaluation of standard patient care.
The incumbent ensures the effectiveness of the training programs in the
ED and all other support activities related to those training programs in accordance with JHS policies and standards and applicable regulatory requirements. Maintains effective lines of communication with the medical, nursing, social work and management staff, and coordinates the development, implementation and the evaluation of standard patient care.
Selection Criteria:
Doctorate degree in Medicine; at least 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. State of Florida Medical License. DEA Certification. Board eligible or board certified in psychiatry. Prior experience in behavioral health or psychiatric emergency department. Ability to participate in and maintain good standing with, all federal and state funded or
reimbursement for service programs.
