Position Overview
Gresham, Smith and Partners is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our award-winning Healthcare Design Practice.
This position is a principal role with the primary responsibility of leading business development efforts managing the department operations for the Healthcare Design studio in Coral Gables, Florida.
The successful individual will be responsible for performing various interior design duties in accordance with project plans and specifications. Provide general oversight, direction and organization to continue growing our healthcare design practice.
Responsibilities
Perform project finish and color selection, interior spatial design and document coordination from schematic design through construction documents.
Compile, review and modify construction documents such as material specifications, furniture specifications, millwork and interior detailing.
Perform internal furniture and space planning. Produce sketches to communicate design ideas.
Participate in the selection and pricing of furnishings and finishes. Conduct inventories of existing furniture and equipment.
Compile data, perform design computations and prepare plans and renderings. Manage project files and logs.
Develop design concepts. Coordinate and schedule detailed phases of major projects. Coordinate drawings with other disciplines.
Develop solutions to design problems. Maintain regular client contact.
Skills & Requirements
The ideal individual for this position will possess 8
years' experience in the Healthcare Design field. Strongly prefer 2 years in a project management role.
Bachelor s/Master's degree in Architecture/Interior Design from a 5-year accredited university
This individual must have strong existing relationships with industry leading clients and be able to provide references from key decision makers in client organizations. Proven experience identifying leads, building a network and winning work.
Demonstrated skills using AutoCAD and REVIT are required.
