Job Summary
The position of Pricing Analyst serves as a liaison with our Latin America offices in coordinating project pricing and making sure they are aligned with our goals as an SBU. The Pricing Analyst works with the sales offices and consolidates the different components of a project and evaluates the profitability of the job. In addition the Pricing Analyst aggregates and analyses transactional data to provide our sales office with the insights to improve their pricing strategies. The Pricing Analyst should proactively monitor the value/price exchange of the commercial interactions and work together with Product Management and Sales Leaders to ensure alignment of pricing and product line strategies.
The candidate should strive to be a key asset to Product Management and the Sales Leaders in providing them insights and analytics to assist and improve profitability on a monthly basis. The Pricing Analyst should be an independent thinker that shows results under minimal supervision. Under this role, the pricing analyst will strive at becoming an expert in understand in detail our portfolio, our competitive landscape, our systems and strategies and provide insights to management.
Responsibilities: The following is requested of the candidate
Gather relevant data from field sales office to generate job quote within specified time frame.
Liaise with sales and project management where further details are necessary to price jobs and ensure projects are fully scoped and prioritized.
Have strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple quote requests/tasks simultaneously.
Identify opportunities for margin maximization and growth.
Be able to utilize good judgment in decision making decisions related to job tasks.
Ensure quote tracking is kept up to date and analyze data to determine status on open quotes.
Work with various teams within the company including finance, operations and sales teams.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, to identify and implement improvements leading to better productivity, increased margin & sales volume.
Have excellent interpersonal skills that allow for communication both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner
Have strong analytical skills and understanding of financial concepts.
Provide analysis to product management and field sales managers to assist in making good decisions and act as a catalyst in providing positive and constructive contributions in response to changing business environment.
Contribute & be involved in special projects as they come up.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, International Business, Finance or Accounting
Minimum 5 years' experience in one or more of the following: Pricing, Product Management, Sales, Commercial Management, Finance, or industry experience.
Demonstrated strong quantitative & analytical ability
Demonstrated initiative, curiosity and potential to go beyond the described role as the team responsibilities evolve
Demonstrated strong communication with the ability to be timely and accurate in written and verbal responses
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels and functions of the organization
Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with advanced Excel skills
HVAC experience a plus
Spanish and or Portuguese a plus
Occasional travel (10%)
