The Supervisor is the first level of support and inspiration for associates providing guidance directly to consumers. The Supervisor maintains high standards for quality and an exceptional consumer experience, actively coaching the team on bringing quick resolution to a variety of consumer needs, while creating a positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
Plans, organizes and supervises the work of the employees of the Base, ensuring work is accomplished consistently with company guidelines and objectives.
Reviews daily the work schedule to ensure that the patients arrive on time to their medical appointments and that they can be returned to home as soon as they have finished their activity in the clinics.
Controls and supervises the Drivers performance against established service standards
Coordinates and supervises the work of the Dispatcher with the main purpose that the transportation routes are efficient and they cover conveniently the transportation daily requests.
Recommends changes in transportation rules, regulations and procedures.
Coordinates the use of external transportation services.
Investigates and makes reports of traffic accidents involving any transportation vehicle or occupants therein.
Recommends the amount, the type of equipment and employees needed to provide an adequate Service.
Keeps in constant contact and coordination with the Administrators and other Clinic Representatives, in order to coordinate transportation services for patients.
Provides prompt communication and response to the Medical Centers regarding Transportation related issues that may impact their activities. This responsibility requires professionalism and the ability to resolve problems in coordination with all the involved parties.
Operates a computer and the needed software to handle the Transportation Programs.
Plans and organizes the daily work in order to meet schedules and timelines, in middle of an environment with constant changing priorities.
Plans, organizes and coordinates the operations, inspections, maintenances, repairs and storage of vehicles assigned to the Operational Base.
Supports, executes and transmits the company philosophy, objectives, decisions, regulations and policies.
Responsible for the delivery of assigned Reports, including payrolls, vacations, sick-days, personal-days, etc., and to keep updated all the information both from their employees as their vehicles.
Role Essentials
High School Degree or a General Education Degree (G.E.D.).
A minimum of 1 year experience as a lead in transportation
A minimum of 1 year experience managing transportation drivers and creating and managing their schedules
Bilingual English/Spanish (fluent levels in both)
Supervisory, Lead, or Management experience
Ability to work with individuals from diverse cultural levels, ethnic and age groups
Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment, without loss the patience and to be able to keep a positive behavior, kind and cooperative
Highly adept with interpersonal communication and work organization
Geographic knowledge of the locations where the Operational Base performs its Service or sufficient proficiency with technology and tools to address logistics
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations, to external and internal clients.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence in a professional style.
Sufficient computer skills to operate a computer and the needed software to handle the Transportation Programs
Experience with MS Outlook, Word and Excel programs
Able to travel 25% or more local and long distance
