Job Description:
Undergeneral supervision by an Attorney, successful candidates will:
Draft routine legal documents, and handle multiple legal tasks to support the attorneys.
Draft, review, and revise routine legal documents, which may includeresponses to discovery requests (including coordinating completion andsignature by client) and routine discovery motions.
May follow up on the receipt of discovery responses.
Maintain relationships with attorneys, outside departments, courts, clientsand third parties.
Adhere to the GEICO Code of Conduct, the GEICO Claims Code of Conduct,company policies and operating principles.
Meet attendance standard at business location to perform necessary jobfunctions and to facilitate interaction with management and co-workers.
Candidate
Qualifications:
Work activities involve combinations of sitting, walking, kneeling, climbing,pulling, bending, lifting, carrying and standing for extended periods.
Must be able to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitateconflict resolution, and have strong organization/priority setting skills.
Must be able to multi-task.
Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and proceduralinformation.
Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Based on jurisdiction, may need to obtain and maintain a notary license.
Must have the ability to type at least 50 words per minute.
Must hold a Paralegal Certificate.
