Manager - Supply Chain Excellence TM Analytics

Position Description
The Manager SC Excellence TM Analytics will lead the effort in identifying, evaluating and progressing transportation management (TM) analytical toolset and processes that will drive TM business intelligence and the ability to leverage TM analytics to grow existing business and win new business. The incumbent will work directly with internal operational and cross-functional stakeholders to identify new tools and processes and to leverage historical TM data points in a consistent, holistic and insightful manner.
The individual will consult with internal and external contacts to demonstrate the value of TM analytics and to drive capabilities as a competitive differentiator, as well as, lead the research of new tools and approaches that will drive future TM analytical and business intelligence capabilities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, business process improvement, informatics, or engineering
Master's degree in computer science, business, business process improvement, informatics, or engineering, preferred
Eight (8) years or more of experience in business analysis, engineering, or IT project management
Experience with Microstrategy, SAS, SSRS, and/or SQL
Experience with SDLC methodology
Experience in systems development and project management preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Certified Six Sigma Black Belt within one (1) year of hire required
IIBA -Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) preferred
TDWI - Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CIP) preferred

Responsibilities
Modeling tool development & application:
Thoroughly understand DM modeling tools and how to apply them to practical applications
Pursue self-training and third party training when necessary to fully understand technical parameters and capabilities of tools; proprietary tools include the standard resource model and data utility tool, and off the shelf tools include slotting tools, CAD tools, and discrete-event simulation tools.
Rapidly engage in toolset usage for business development, consultative efforts, and continuous improvement projects
Leverage toolset to drive to a solution for the customer
Ask relevant questions, make assumptions as necessary, and support project from initial phases through recommendations
Employ process improvement practices and techniques to analyze and recommend solutions that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes and procedures
Benchmarking, profiling & business intelligence:
Identify appropriate infrastructure and processes for data warehousing of DM profile information
Work cross functionally with engineering, labor management, operations, IT, solutions, finance, real estate, and HR to include relevant data points related to labor, operating parameters, productivity, equipment & capex, WMS, real estate, and financial performance
Identify synergies with other databases, such as Dploy metrics and ops excellence databases, financial databases, SharePoint repositories, Yammer repositories
Create a holistic long-term framework for use of enterprise data to support business intelligence
Consulting support:
Work with functional leads to scope opportunity and develop statement of work for DM consulting, including project plan, resource plan, communication plan, deliverables, cost, and other details as per internal documented consulting SOW
Generate deliverables including items such as data profiling, resource modeling, AutoCad layouts, equipment requirements, capex requirements, labor strategy, operating strategy, material flow plans, overall design strategy, payback analysis, and/or pricing inputs
Data analysis & presentation:
Collect data, both on the floor and from available datasets, including WMS data using standard data collection techniques to ensure proper sample quality and proper sample size
Perform data analysis on large data sets which may require use of a relational database to query and summarize the data; data validation techniques must be leveraged to check results of data analysis
Write queries and reports to retrieve information on request
Provide ad-hoc reporting and different analysis
Prepare customer-facing content from data analysis & summary per input from sales, solutions, engineering, or IT leads
Research, distribute, and train on toolset:
Research new toolset capabilities and collaborate with the new product development (product innovation) team as needed
Develop training content, schedule training, train user community on toolset
Distribute toolset via documented distribution process
Serve as internal support for questions or troubleshooting on toolset
Communicate timing and planning for future releases of toolset
Lead the effort in identifying, evaluating and progressing distribution management (DM) analytical toolset and processes that will drive DM business intelligence and the ability to leverage DM analytics to grow existing business and win new business.
Proactively engage with stakeholders
Maintain and deliver on project plans and develop the necessary buy-in from stakeholder
Sustain advancements by paying attention to the training content, documentation and procedures
