The Portfolio Manager Multicultural activation specialist is a full-time position dedicated to representing our spirits client and helping connect Brands in key multicultural Hispanic accounts. Candidates should have experience working within the spirits/beer vertical, have a deep understanding and connectivity to the local consumer culture and lifestyle. The candidate should also be familiar with inner workings of the three-tier system and have an ability and drive to meet aggressive commercial and visibility KPIs.
This position will work in lockstep with both supplier and distributor stakeholders, deploying seasonal marketing programs to a targeted account list. The candidate will serve as a multicultural, on premise Brand Activation Agent and Sales Facilitator.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Must manage field activations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, while meeting administrative deadlines including activity and expense reports
Well versed in the Digital space with strong understanding of relevant platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, among others
Leverage expertise of local on-premise landscape to deliver a targeted account list at program launch
Build strong relationships with accounts (owners, managers, staff)
Establish connections and relationships with key community influencers and organizations
Conduct account audits to establish KPI viability/targets and develop tactical activation solutions in tandem with supplier local marketing team
Align activation strategy with supplier and distributor stakeholders in accordance with seasonal sales calendar
Develop and manage an activation schedule, which drives delivery of aggressive sales and marketing KPIs including distribution, drink features, staff trainings, POS execution and consumer sampling
Manage a budget including extensive consumer sampling activity
Analyze sales reports to evaluate ROI, extract actionable results and course-correct activation strategy
Conduct weekly meetings/calls with primary supplier and distributor contacts to recap activity and ensure it is properly leveraged to drive sales
Deliver weekly digests to supplier, distributor and agency stakeholders detailing wins, challenges, opportunities, competitive activity and key learnings
Attend training on State Guidelines for Marketing Distilled Spirits
Required Skills/Competencies
Working knowledge of the spirits category and/or the beverage industry (beer, soda) in the multicultural market
Excellent presentation skills /ability to retain key product information
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Proficient Microsoft office
Consultative selling skills
Strong initiative, self-starter
Results and quality oriented
Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline driven environment
Some travel may be required (locally, domestically, internally)
Flexible, willing to work nontraditional hours, including nights and weekends
Must be comfortable with online reporting and available for regular conference calls
Must not be involved with, promoting, working for, or representing any other beer, wine or spirit brand
If applicable, must divest any financial stake and discontinue and affiliation/employment, business venture with on-premise account(s)
Bilingual in English and Spanish
