World Fuel Services is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to be part of our Custom Development team and help drive the design, development, and maintenance of our internal custom system applications. A business systems analyst isn't a programmer, although they may have programming experience. They aren't a software tester, but they may test software. They aren't a database administrator although they query and model data. Like any Business Analyst, the Business Systems Analyst (BSA) works with the business to understand their needs, but their focus is the business' needs related to information technology. Using their knowledge of the organization's technology infrastructure and specific software applications they help the business to address changes through technology.
Job
Responsibilities:
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
Documents requirements, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies
Develop functional specifications to turn over to the development team
Work closely with test and development personnel to define and execute Test Strategy.
Facilitate the development and standardization of the business system analysis process in an agile environment.
Required Skills and
Experience:
At least 3-5 years of experience in a Business Analyst capacity.
Go getter attitude, self-driven, willing to learn
Able to work with multiple priorities
Experience in a custom development environment
Experience in working with business users to develop technical requirements
Demonstrated Order to Cash knowledge and experience (preferably in an ERP environment)
Able to write simple database queries to research data as needed
Experience writing test cases
Experience executing functional testing
At least 5 years of experience in gathering business requirements and writing functional design documents.
Ability to lead meetings and small project teams.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced, changing environment and be detail oriented.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills.
