Position is responsible for retrieving/distributing Team member uniforms.
Additional responsibilities include putting up clean garments on rail.
Collecting and separating soiled uniforms, scanning and maintaining records for tracking of all uniforms.
Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for opening and closing the uniform departmentIssues clean uniforms to employees as dirty ones are turned in (one for one basis onlyMaintains all uniform/linen logsAssures compliance with uniform and linen control proceduresIssues General Store itemsAssists with weekly inventories of suppliesAssists with monthly inventory of uniformsPerforms minor mending tasks when alterations is not present.
Serve employees uniform needs in a friendly, accurate and professional mannerWorks to benefit the hotel by adhering to hotel standards, rules and regulationsPerforms other duties as assigned by the SupervisorKeep control of all condemned uniformsCollects soiled uniforms from employees and processes for cleaningReceives and inspects soiled uniforms for damage and/or stainsSeparates damaged/stained uniforms for special processingChecks pockets and removes foreign articlesTurns found articles over to Security/Lost and FoundSorts and bags uniforms for transport to laundryCompletes employee uniform laundry inventory formRe-supplies guest amenity trays daily (Pick Station)Complete daily checklists and order formsSupportive Functions and ResponsibilitiesPromotes and applies teamwork skill at all timesNotifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of all problems and/or unusual matters of significanceIs polite, friendly, and helpful to all guests, management and fellow employeesAttends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessionsMaintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work areaExecutes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standardsComplies with required safety regulations and proceduresComplies with hotel standards, policies and rulesRecycles whenever possibleRemains current with hotel information and changesComplies with hotel uniform and grooming standardsQualificationsMust have good English skills (read, write, speak)Must be able to maintain filesMust be able to lift up to 25 poundsMust know how to mend and sew on buttons.
