Amazon Transportation Services, Middle Mile Partner Manager
Amazon's Transportation Services team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Middle Mile Partner Manager to help develop a world class logistics process that delivers goods on time at the best cost.
Our team objective is to manage to excellence freight flowing through our North American transportation networks, specifically focused on transportation carrier programs and performance.
A successful candidate in this role should have a background in complex problem solving, external vendor relationships and demonstrated operations management skills.
The candidate is comfortable working on high-level strategy and design, as they are rolling-up their sleeves and working on implementation.
They have demonstrated the ability to build customized logistics solutions, drive process improvement, standardize procedures and eliminate the root cause of defects within current systems.
This job will require strong communication and project management skills while working independently in a fast paced, and often ambiguous, work environment.
Passion and drive for customer service is a must.
Key Responsibilities include:
Collaborating on the design, development, and delivery of key programs, metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive key business decisions across customer-facing programs.
The ideal professional will educate internal and external senior business leaders on how to most efficiently expand and leverage the Linehaul program.
Strategically assess how Linehaul most efficiently serves each program to identify opportunities and align with key stakeholders to insert Linehaul into the program decision-making processes.
Partner with third part carrier leadership and Amazon technology teams to identify and drive process improvements that improve service, iterate technology and enhance vendor engagement and growth.
Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
Identify appropriate performance metrics for each program and ensure consistent measurement and accountability.
10-15% travel based on business need.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
